Your birth stories

I'm Ruby Jones and I am Barrister (Criminal Law), I have two children, a daughter of two years and a son who is five months old. Both pregnancies were idyllic and I grew fat but in a nice way. The only thing was I was really hungry and that would sometimes make me feel sick. My second child was overdue by ten days, I went in to labor around midnight and within twenty minutes I had to phone the hospital as I realized I was three minutes apart with my contractions. I felt the need to push so I was rushed to the hospital where I gave birth in the first fifteen minutes of getting there. It was awful, I was stood at the counter shouting All I want is an Epidural but they said no your nearly there and gave me gas and air. There is no two ways about it, it hurt a lot it's like doing the biggest poo of your life. The worst part of it was I remember being on all fours and pushing and feeling a little bit of poo come out. I cried to the midwife I think I've just pooed myself and she said you have my dear but it's only a little bit, it's nothing to worry about. I think that was the lowest point. After sometime his head popped out which felt weird as I had not felt anything for a while and started to worry that something might be wrong. I started to feel his body move and it was like having a wet fish up your bottom, it was just really wriggly, it was awful I just remember saying Get it out, Get it out and then he just slipped out. My recommendations would be, have an epidural as soon as you can, make it easy for yourself.
