Newborn nappies

Tear Of View Transcript
I'm planning to always use eco nappies. At the moment I've got some eco disposable ones on the advice of my sister who does nappy mornings, I think they're called Nappucino. They invite women along and show them the various nappies. Disposable nappies and landfill is an enormous problem. They don't bio-degrade. A newborn baby can get through 10 or 12 nappies in a day. So apparently bio-degradable disposable ones are not completely biodegradable, it's about 60 or 70%. So my sister said use those in the first few days or weeks as you'll be tired and don't want to worry about washing. Other than that I've got all washable cotton nappies. They're much better than when our parents had them.
