Septuagenarian Dennis Ealam could be forgiven for taking it easy but it seems the 77 year old has no plans to slow down on the family front at least.

Dennis and wife Cora, 37, have just welcomed the newest addition to their family - daughter Violet. The couple have Johnathon, three in August, and Jessie, 17 months.

Dennis has five other children from his first marriage to ex-wife Ros, 69. He also has sixteen grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

7lb 12oz Violet was born by Caesarean Section on May 19. Speaking about the recent addition, Cora said: 'We weren’t trying for a baby when I fell pregnant with Violet.

'I was on the pill so it was a massive shock. But these things happen and although it will be difficult we wouldn’t change a thing.

'I can honestly say I’m happy with three and Dennis wouldn’t want any more. I’m looking at having a coil fitted so I don’t get caught out again!'

Dennis and Cora fell in love in 2007 and married on Christmas Eve 2008. The couple insist that Dennis's age isn't a problem for them and boast that they have an active sex life.

What do you think of today's top story? Are Dennis and Cora right to be having children that Dennis might not live to see grow up? Does it matter what age Dennis is? Would you have a baby with a pensioner? Tell us what you think....

In our video, Katy Hill says that being an older mum makes her more prone to tiredness - if Katy is tired at 40, heaven knows how Dennis must feel!
