Canadian parents David Stocker and Kathy Witterick, who already have two sons, five year old Jazz and two year old Kio, say their third child, four-month-old Storm should be allowed to decide his/her gender when he/she grows up.

They believe that this will free Storm, pictured here with brother Jazz, from constraints of gender and allow him/her to self determine his/her identity.
When Storm was born they sent family and friends an email saying: "We've decided not to share Storm's sex for now -- a tribute to freedom and choice in place of limitation, a stand up to what the world could become in Storm's lifetime (a more progressive place? ...)."
Critics have argued that rather than liberating Storm, Kathy and David are treating him/her as a psychological experiment and subjecting him/her to the likelihood of future isolation and even bullying.
