iMama.tv loves shopping at Amazon and without going into the joys of shopping without leaving the house - here are our top reasons why...

We love Amazon because...

1) Price Comparisons are so easy
It's really easy to get a good price for whatever you want to buy – and making price comparisons is much more straightforward than on a lot of other sites.

2) The range of goods is Amazonazing!
They have an amazing range of goods – you can literally buy almost anything from Amazon. They're particularly great for electronics, household items, baby toys and books. For unusual books, they are really fantastic. And while specialist book shops charge extra for unsual books – you can find lots on Amazon which only cost a penny (though sellers to tend to add on a few pounds for postage).

3) Used and new products are available
There are loads of second hand goods available – and most of it is as good as new when it arrives so if you're environmentally conscious you can do your bit in avoiding buying things that have taken extra energy to manufacture.

Tips for shopping on Amazon

A) Research your seller
Amazon runs like a co-operative of sellers (in a similar way to eBay – though it's not quite as clear as eBay make it). Always research a seller's feedback history prior to initiating a transaction. Feedback is the leading indicator of a seller's overall quality. Look for clues within a seller's feedback that indicate the following: The ability to fulfill and ship orders in a timely fashion, a seller's willingness to resolve transaction disputes, and an indication that the quality of the products shipped matches the description supplied by the seller.

B) Keep an eye on the cost of postage
Sometimes the product you want looks cheap – but add the cost of postage and you may find another seller was a better option.

c) Dealing with returns
In the unlikely event you need to return a product, bear in mind that who the seller is has an impact on how easy it will be to return it.

If the product is shipped by Amazon.com, you can visit their Online Returns Center to get a mailing label to return your item. NOTE: Return shipping may be deducted from the amount of your refund if the reason for your return is not the result of an Amazon error.

If the product is shipped by a seller then Amazon.com won't accept its returns. If you need to return an item that was shipped by a seller, you will need to contact the seller directly. Items fulfilled by a seller must be returned to the seller according to their return guidelines.
