Yes yes, I know, it's far more exciting shopping for baby clothes and designer changing bags than it is looking for sterilisers. But, let's face facts, a steriliser is an essential. Even if you're breast feeding, you're likely to use bottles at some stage so this is a 'piece of kit' you're going to get very familiar with.
My advice is to decide whether you like the idea of a cold water steriliser, a microwave steriliser, or the electric option and then start looking. I went for electric. Our ancient microwave is in the garage so a microwave steriliser would have driven me nuts. I bought a steam steriliser and it's currently steaming away for our second child so, it's been worth every penny.
