As record numbers fill their boots from our barmy benefits system the News of the World has uncovered staggering statistics to chill every hard-working taxpayer struggling to cope.
Of course there are the genuine sick and unemployed, desperate to find a job, who must be helped and supported. But as the stigma of relying on handouts to feed and clothe a family has vanished we have nurtured a truly Shameless generation - claimants with fistfuls of fivers who actually brag they have never worked, and have no intention of ever working.
