Lana Ameen's parents released a photo of the three year old just hours before her death from swine flu to try and persuade ministers to make the vaccine available to all children.
Their daughter did not have any underlying health problems and so wasn't eligible for the jab under current rules.
Lana fell ill with what appeared to be a cold on Christmas Eve but rapidly worsened and died just two days later.
Her mother Gemma Ameen, who is 12 weeks' pregnant, urged other parents to get their children vaccinated. The 28-year-old nurse from Stockport, said: 'It is a very difficult time for us. We have been so shocked by what has happened and we feel very strongly that everyone, particularly children, should have the vaccine.
'I want to say to people, to parents, if you can get the vaccine don't hesitate - the risk of not having it and the price you might pay is just too high.'
