Okay so it's a bit of a silly one but I am one of those people who use my phone for a lot of things, not so much calls but texts here and there, mostly internet browsing, and usually have it with me all the time.
As sad as it is I've been known to wake up in the night (several times) and search for my phone. I must know where it is at all times!
A few months back my darling boy decided my phone might like a dip in his paddling pool... Well he'd enjoyed paddling so much why on Earth would my phone not want to join him?! Well that weekend we went away, this incident happened a few hours before we left the house so my phone stayed at home in some rice and was all better when we came back 3 days later. I coped without it out of necessity and it was actually nice not to have to keep checking it.
So I put it on my list, turn my phone off for a whole weekend. This weekend I did it! I must admit the battery died on Friday night so I didn't actually turn it off myself but I decided not to turn it back on so same thing achieved. I left it off until this morning! A while weekend with no phone. Of course the effect is better if you have no internet access and no home phone (not that I had chance to ring anyone on it this manic weekend) but I will be turning my phone off more often (and the home phone and lap top!)
So there we have it, 28 days in and I have ticked off 13 tasks! Not bad going I reckon :)
