I’m a sucker for a good book. Story time can get a little dull if the same dog-eared favourites come out every evening, so we love it when something new comes along.
This week we’ve been gazing at all the colourful pictures in ‘A Zeal of Zebras’ by Woop Studios. Not a story as such, this is an alphabetic journey through collective nouns, showcasing groups of animals... ‘a leap of leopards’ and ‘a kaleidoscope of butterflies’.
It’s a hardback beauty. The pictures are to die for - great blasts of colour and energy, while the words are lavish and make us laugh. It’s one of those little treasures I’ll always keep - maybe on the children’s bookshelf or maybe on mine.
