My Thomas reached the grand age of three this summer, and last week he headed off to his new nursery class with the other big boys and girls. I'm amazed to find they're learning a few words in French. Thomas thinks it's great fun, even though I'm not entirely sure he knows what it means to speak another language. So, I'm all for a little encouragement.

Having a musical language CD to play in the car seems like a good idea to me - something to amuse and keep him interested at the same time. Babyboomboom have a fantastic selection of products to encourage children in other languages from French and Spanish to Welsh and Polish. And, it's all about playing music, singing and dancing and making this learning process a lot of fun. I've got my eye on the English and French CD which features nursery rhymes and songs in both languages. Perhaps we might just have to go to France as well... seems like a good excuse for a holiday to me?!
