We love books in our house. Story time is that blissful moment of semi-calm before bed when we all snuggle up together and read whatever Thomas has chosen. Sometimes we chuckle over silly stories, other times we marvel over mystical tales. There are always a few silly voices to be made, and William tries to chew the book corners.
And so, we’re glad to have new additions to our book shelf, especially when it appeals to both William (7 months) and Thomas (nearly three) which is quite a challenge. This week we’ve been reading all about the adventures of Fudgy Bear - a loveable character who takes us on his travels to the zoo and the farm. The books look fabulous with bright colours and lovely pictures, introducing your child to animals and the noises they make. My youngest is clearly visually delighted, while Thomas has been involved with the stories and Fudgy himself.
From a practical point of view, the books are light and slim - and hence came on holiday with us and in the car. And, perhaps most importantly, if your little one takes a shine to Fudgy, you can also buy the bear - he’s so classic and cuddly I might have to give him a squeeze myself.
The Fudgy bear and his books are available to buy from his website or Waterstones.com. Enquire about Fudgy at your local library too!
