NHS bosses urge staff to boot mums out of hospital six hours after delivering baby Nick Owens

An alarming letter from a health boss says first-time mums ought to be gone in 24 hours and others in just six.
Midwives are also told to ask new mums to pay for a private bed at £85 a night if they want to stay on.
Another change would cut the number of midwives in the day from three to five, and ban mums of babies in intensive care units from sleeping at the hospital with their sick child for more than three days.
