Archie was born on November 16, four years and three months after his dad was left in a coma with 75 per cent burns by a Taliban rocket attack in Afghanistan.
Martyn, 27, and wife Michelle – who suffered the heartbreak of their premature twins dying last year – said: “It has been a very emotional time for us. We have been wanting a child since our marriage over two years ago and now we feel like a complete family.”
As they cradled little Archie in their arms, the couple revealed his middle name is Harry, in memory of his tragic brother. Harry and his twin sister Freya died when they were less than 24 hours old, on the eve of Martyn and Michelle’s first wedding anniversary.
