Goodbye Pert Breasts

goodbyepertbreasts.com/

Ben is a husband to one and father of two who lives in a sleepy town in Warwickshire, where the average age is in the late 70s, and the average driving speed in the low 20s. His day job is as a Quantity Surveyor for a large house builder, but he spends his evenings writing articles for a number of publications and websites. He recently released his book on fatherhood, which has received great reviews.

1.What’s your blog about?
It began as a humorous diary of my journey through pregnancy, detailing the ups and downs as well as giving dads advice on how to get more involved. Now my son is born, I just write about any old rubbish.

2. When and why did you start writing your blog?
January 2010: the original blog posts are extracts from my book, and I wanted to gauge how they’d go down with my target audience.

3. How long do you spend blogging and what do you enjoy?
I spend more time writing articles, but a few hours a week is taken up by blogging. I just love writing something that makes other people laugh.

4. What have been your blogging highs and low, triumphs or disasters?
I reached the final of a UK-wide search for Britain’s best parent blogger, in the Funniest Blog and Blogger of the Year categories. I didn’t win either; I suppose that’d go down as a disaster.

5. Is blogging a job or a hobby? What would be the ideal outcome?
At the moment, blogging is a hobby – and always will be, as I’m not intelligent enough to work out how to make money out of it. But one day I will write for a living, and also live in a massive house.

6. How easy is it to set up a blog – and have you any tips for newbies.
It’s simple, just go to blogger.com or wordpress.com and go through the steps. Blog about something you love, make sure your writing is to a decent standard, and the hits will come flooding in.

Inside My Mind

I thought it would be beneficial if I gave you an insight into my mind. This is the kind of thing I think about all day every day, and usually you have the advantage of thorough editing as I attempt to turn my thoughts into blog posts. Today I thought I’d give you the unedited [...]
