The Alpha Parent
http://thealphaparent.blogspot.com/1.What’s your blog about?
Parenting, breastfeeding, weaning, and everything inbetween.
2. When and why did you start writing your blog?
I needed an outlet for my controversial musings as they were starting to frustrate some family. I also find it my intellectual adult outlet as a SAHM.
3. How long do you spend blogging and what do you enjoy?
It differs from day to day depending on family commitments. I enjoy researching and receiving feedback from readers.
4. What have been your blogging highs and low, triumphs or disasters?
A triumph? Becoming one of iMama’s best bloggers of course! A disaster would be one particularly ranty blog entry I wrote about health visitors. It was not well received.
5. Is blogging a job or a hobby? What would be the ideal outcome?
I’d be thrilled to write about parenting for a broadsheet such as The Guardian one day. At the moment blogging is hobby.
6. How easy is it to set up a blog – and have you any tips for newbies.
If you can work sites like Facebook and Twitter, you can create a blog. My advice is to find a niche or unique perspective and stick to it. Blog about topics you are passionate about. The words flow when there’s passion involved.
