About

Edspire

http://www.edspire.co.uk/

35 year old Mummy of twins. Newly wed and newly pregnant, looking forward to growing my family and blogging about it. When not a full time mummy I am a primary school teacher and I love my job. Now I am loving playing learning with children of my own. And chatting to you fine folk along the way!

1.What’s your blog about?
Parenting premature twins, pregnancy, life as a stay at home mummy, product reviews

2. When and why did you start writing your blog?
I started Edspire when Esther and William were in NICU. I wanted to share our journey with family and friends and help people in our shoes. Being a Mummy in NICU can be a lonely time I wanted to try and provide a friendly voice. Now Edspire is more general but protecting premature babies and fighting for their issues remains a cause close to my heart.

3. How long do you spend blogging and what do you enjoy?
I blog every evening. I live with a workaholic husband and so we are able to sit on our laptops together. Sad I know. I enjoy writing and promoting innovative products from small businesses. I like to let off steam through my writing.

4. What have been your blogging highs and low, triumphs or disasters?
My blogging highs have been being a MAD Blog Award finalist in the Baby category, being chosen as a Toys R Us Toyologist for 2011 and a Toy Genius for Toyjeanius. I also got an overwhelming response to a post I wrote about breastfeeding premature twins.

5. Is blogging a job or a hobby? What would be the ideal outcome?
Blogging is a hobby but I would love to make it a job. How do you do that?

6. How easy is it to set up a blog – and have you any tips for newbies.
I am lucky enough to live with a web designer / programmer so have constant help on hand. I found setting up Edspire quite easy but I think there is lots I could do to improve the organization of my blog. I have lots to learn. My advice to new bloggers is to always learn and do not be afraid to change things along the way. Read lots of blogs and learn from others.
