Romanian Mum in London
http://romanianmuminlondon.blogspot.com/When i was 24 and living in Bucharest i met this wonderful man called Adrian. You might say it was love at first sight. Our love started fast and it was intense. A couple of years later in 2006 we got married and decided the best place to be, for us as a young couple, was London,England. One of the reasons was the fact that my hubby is English. So here i am living in England as a foreigner. As a eastern european sometimes life can be difficult. But i found a job at a really nice company and settled in very well. I still work there full time. This job gave me the opportunity to learn english better and to make lots of friends. Our lovely daughter was born in 2009 and i had to care for her by myself. Just my husband and i really. So life was difficult at the beginning and it became even more difficult when my maternity leave finished and i had to go back to work. So here we are with both me and hubby working full time and having to put our daughter in full time childcare. This is when i became depressed and when at the advice of my doctor i start writing a diary. The diary then transformed in a blog a really shy blog... My daughter is now 2 and a half years old and our life is sometimes interesting and sometimes frustrating. But why spoil this with too much? Visit my blog and you can read about everything that happens or our wishes for the future.
1.What’s your blog about?
Difficult to say as it always changes. It can be about my frustrations as a foreign mother living in London or it can be about my depression...Sometimes I like to share my Romanian culture by sharing recipes with my readers and other times I just post my views and reviews about products and places I try and visit.
2. When and why did you start writing your blog?
I started blogging around a year and a half ago and the reason was because I felt the need to talk with the world about me. I discovered that writing helped with my depression and I found a few friends online as well. The community for MUMMY bloggers is quite big!!
3. How long do you spend blogging and what do you enjoy?
Sometimes I spend a couple of hours a day and sometimes only a couple of minutes a day. I blog because I like it so it depends on what else is happening in my life and how I feel.
4. What have been your blogging highs and low, triumphs or disasters?
Never been hacked or any thing like this so i am quite happy about that.
Highs: Given the chance to be part of iMamaTV community!
5. Is blogging a job or a hobby? What would be the ideal outcome?
Blogging for me is a hobby. If in future I will be good enough and it will become a job I wouldn't mind but for now I enjoy what I do.
6. How easy is it to set up a blog – and have you any tips for newbies.
I found it a bit difficult to decide between the platforms. Blogger or wordpress? Blogger was the winner because I found that it is a lot easier and it is a place where I can just write without being too concerned of the way it looks.
