What can I say about myself? I’m a bargain hunting, coffee swigging mum to the Squeakiest baby that ever did Squeak. And even though she’s racing through toddlerhood like it’s the 100m finals, we’re having as much fun as we can along the way. (And I use brackets WAY too often).

1.What’s your blog about?
Life & growing up together in the South Wales Valleys

2. When and why did you start writing your blog?
March 2010, initially as somewhere to record my own thoughts & experiences & to enable friends who wanted to read them to keep up with us.

3. How long do you spend blogging and what do you enjoy?
It depends from week to week. I try to update 2-3 times a week, sometimes it’s more, sometimes it’s less. I enjoy being able to share my thoughts, and LOVE getting feedback, especially from people I admire as bloggers!

4. What have been your blogging highs and low, triumphs or disasters?
The highs have to be being chosen as an ambassador for Graco, and for HABA toys. The opportunities blogging has given me have been amazing. The lows, I can’t really think of any, except that I’ve had to miss out on a lot of the opportunities out there because we don’t live in London.

5. Is blogging a job or a hobby? What would be the ideal outcome?
Blogging is a hobby, I have a lot of admiration for those who can do it as a job, but I’m really not interesting enough! Ideally, I’d love for the blog to lead to a regular column in our local papers, it doesn’t pay much, but I’d love to see myself in print on a regular basis (and not in the “In The Courts” section!!)

6. How easy is it to set up a blog – and have you any tips for newbies.
It’s a piece of cake. If I can do it, anyone can. Platforms like Blogger/Blogspot do the hard work for you in terms of the coding – it’s just the content that’s down to you.
