Mymummyspennies
http://mymummyspennies.blogspot.com/I'm Mummy to two gorgeous little monsters, Benjamin who is 4 and just started school and Elizabeth Rose who is 9 months! I am on maternity leave at the moment and as most of you will understand money is tight! However I still want to be able to take my little ones out, occasionally buy them treats and be able to invest in a few products to make my life easier and indulge my shopaholic tendencies! As a family we try to have a minimal effect on the environment, we walk and use public transport during the week, eat organic where possible, buy pre-loved items, recycle and try to use natural products where we can. Elizabeth wears real nappies, is breastfed and enjoys her food, while Ben is a lively and active little boy.
I started blogging to share my life as a 'pennypinching mummy' and everything I do to save those pennies! I'll be sharing with you any bargains I find, how to make the pennies last longer, ideas for free or very cheap things to do with the little ones and reviews of products I think are really worth 'mummies pennies'!
So watch this space for those 'mummysaving' tips....
1.What’s your blog about?
My blog is about my life as a ‘penny pinching Mummy’. I share bargains I find, ideas for free or cheap things to do, reviews of products that I believe are really worth mummies pennies, and general day to day happenings as a Mummy of two!
2. When and why did you start writing your blog?
I started my blog in May while I was on Maternity leave and money was really tight, I was doing everything I could to save some pennies and thought wouldn’t it be great to share these ideas with other Mummies? It grew from there!
3. How long do you spend blogging and what do you enjoy?
I mainly blog at night when the little ones are in bed, It can be anything from half an hour on a quick post or when I get really carried away with writing something I can find myself crawling into bed at 3am! I really enjoy writing and being able to share the little things about my day with other Mummies!
4. What have been your blogging highs and low, triumphs or disasters?
I recently passed 10,000 views on my blog which felt like a great accomplishment, and it always makes me happy and gives me a fluffy warm feeling inside when readers comment to say how much they like my posts or that they’ve used an idea I’ve posted and got a bargain!
5. Is blogging a job or a hobby? What would be the ideal outcome?
It’s a hobby at the moment but I would love the chance to write for a living, it’s something I’ve always wanted to do but life took me down a different path…
6. How easy is it to set up a blog – and have you any tips for newbies.
I found it really simple, I had a basic idea and it just kept growing! I would advise newbie bloggers to use a pre designed platform such as blogger or wordpress to get started, and write about what you enjoy!
