http://kidspartyheaven.wordpress.com/

I’m Diane of Diane’s Puppets, my London Children’s entertainment business of which I’m very proud. I’m a mum of two grown up daughters and a new Grandmother, (why didn’t anyone tell me about how wonderful being a grandparent is?), feminist and art and craft and crochet addict. I cannot keep my hands still, I’m always making or drawing something. I believe in promoting the ‘Silly’ message and helping people to find their inner child. Life is too short to be too serious all the time.

1.What’s your blog about?
It’s about my life and work as a London Children’s Entertainer, with hints and tips of hosting a successful birthday party.

2. When and why did you start writing your blog?
It’s a relatively new blog, I started it in March this year 2011, to increase my Internet presence and to allow me to communicate with my clients and to find a new client base.

3. How long do you spend blogging and what do you enjoy?
I try to blog at least three times a week if I’m not too busy partying for work. Having that inspiration for a blog post when you least expect it is an unexpected bonus of blogging.

4. What have been your blogging highs and low, triumphs or disasters?
Finding people who think the way I do through blogging is my absolute favourite thing about blogging. My blogging triumph so far was inspiring a fellow blogger in the States to write a very beautiful and moving piece of work through reading my own blog post. My disasters so far have been many. As I’m new to blogging I sometimes don’t understand the etiquette required in blog hops etc and make myself an annoyance without wanting to. I shall learn eventually. It’s a pity I’m learning the hard way.

5. Is blogging a job or a hobby? What would be the ideal outcome?
Blogging is part of my marketing strategy for my business so I suppose it is part of my job but I love it so much that I would blog even if I didn’t have to. My ideal outcome would be to be paid for blogging. Who wouldn’t want that?

6. How easy is it to set up a blog – and have you any tips for newbies.
I found it simple . I use Wordpress and find the interface very easy to use. Since I am technically a newbie myself , I shall refrain from passing on tips just yet.

Diamond Jubilee : My tribute to HRH

It’s Ma’am like spam I’m  not much of a Royalist to be fair, but I do enjoy the pomp and circumstance that goes with the British Monarchy. As a very proud Londoner, I couldn’t imagine  not seeing the Horseguards with their big bearskins guarding St James’s palace, or witness the changing of the guard. I [...]
