Ramblings Of A Suburban Mummy

http://realsuburbanmummy.com/

I’m a married mum of two from West Yorkshire. Currently enjoying my maternity leave and hoping that I won’t have to go back to work when my leave is up! Blogging my way through the highs and lows of having two children under the age of three, trying to keep my brain alive in a sea of children’s TV, nursery rhymes and noisy toys!

1.What’s your blog about?
Everyday family life

2. When and why did you start writing your blog?
In June 2011, to record the funny, brilliant and annoying things my children do.

3. How long do you spend blogging and what do you enjoy?
I probably spend too much time blogging. I tend to average a post each day but spend a lot of time behind the scenes, testing products, working on social media and promotion.

4. What have been your blogging highs and low, triumphs or disasters?
The best things about blogging so far is how much confidence it has given me in my abilities, dealing with companies and individuals, and some of the fantastic products I have been able to test and review. The worst thing has got to be getting hung up on statistics and forgetting why I started blogging. Recently I have been more focused on writing my blog for me and not others.

5. Is blogging a job or a hobby? What would be the ideal outcome?
It’s a hobby, or at best an unpaid job. Would I like to make money out of it, sure, but do I make money from it? Nope!

6. How easy is it to set up a blog – and have you any tips for newbies.
It’s very easy to set up a blog, you can get started in seconds but don’t rush think carefully about your blog name, host and theme. It’s a pain to try and change things later if you make a rushed decision now.
